What will we miss most when we move:
- Being close enough to Dan and Krista so that we can enjoy frequent visits and celebrate family events together.
- Our extended family through Dennis and Leanne Taylor, and Elizabeth and Matt. Thank you so much for including us in your lives. We love you all as family.
- Our good friends - you know who you are. We will always have the welcome light burning for you, no matter where we are.
- Our professional lives. Although retirement is wonderful, it is great to look back on careers fulfilled. Each one of my students has a special place in my heart.
- Our home on Laura Court. So many of our memories center there. We are glad that a wonderful family will continue to fill the home with love and life. We will never find neighbors we cherish as much as we do you. Laura Court Ladies, you rock!
- The very capable medical professionals who helped us navigate through some pretty terrifying times.
- The focus of California in our life. It took us many years to adjust to the very idea of California: the Valley, the Sierras, the Pacific Ocean, San Francisco and Los Angeles, palm trees and citrus trees, the architecture, fences, tri-tip, the weather, the western sense of history and culture. After so long, these have come to mark our place in the world and will continue to be a major part of who we are as we move on.
Hi, Judy!
ReplyDeleteThank you for introducing me to what a BLOG is and how it works! I guess I never had a reason before to look into this world of social networking (personal and professional emails keep me busy enough). I look forward to visiting yours on occasion and maybe sometime in 2010 I can create my own blog! Please keep in touch!
Big hug to you and your family!
